John Dickson & Son Round-Action, made in 1895, Oak Leaf Carved

12 Gauge, patent triggerplate action, side-by-side shotgun

The gun is in fine condition inside and out with full coverage Sumner fine scroll engraving and 'John Dickson & Son' 'Patent' banner engraved on the sides of the action, and the detonators have been carved with oak leaves. The action is fitted with cocking indicators and is fitted with a well figured stock finished by 1/2 inch horn extension. New 28 inch chopper-lump steel barrels have been fitted by Dickson's, which benefit from 2 3/4 inch chambers and the gun is perfectly setup for standard steel load cartridges.

Provenance

Delivered as a single gun to a merchant in Edinburgh in September 1895. 130 years later and the original owners initials are still on the stock oval.

As this gun was built before 1925, it is now exempt from the additional U.S. Section 301 Import Tariff
