The business of Alex Martin was established in Paisley, Scotland in 1837. The firm was most famous for its 'ribless' shotgun and the regulation of .303 Lee Enfields. Alex Martin became part of John Dickson and Son in 1960. Although no new guns or rifles are currently produced by John Dickson under the Alex Martin name a full repair, restoration and record enquiry service are offered for vintage Martin guns and Rifles.
The Alex Martin Continental guns were a series of Over & Under guns commissioned by us, starting in the year 2000 and built by Wifra Armi, a small Italian firm of master gunmakers, headed by Franco Poli and William Solari, and using Cesare Giovanelli's 'Bottega Incisioni', a team of master engravers to engrave the guns.
