SOLD - Rare John Dickson and Son Round-Action made in 1905
16 Gauge, patent triggerplate action, side-by-side shotgun
Since 1880 we have only produced 80 Round-Action guns in 16 bore and that number includes 5 built as the three-barrelled variant. We are extremely lucky to have been able to source and sell three 16 bore Round-Actions in the last 8 months. What makes this gun extra special is that it still has its original Nitro Proof damascus barrels, where most damascus guns of this age, due to poor condition, have been re-barrelled or sleeved.
Delivered in December 1905 as a single Round-Action to a family who were already customers of Dickson's, the stock oval still carries the family crest. This beautiful Sumner engraved gun with its original damascus barrels really is rare and highly sought after gun for any Dickson collector.
A truly beautiful gun that we have managed to source and renovate before delivery to its new owner.
