John Dickson & Son at SCI 2023
John Dickson & Son has just returned from Nashville and the hunting extravaganza that is the Safari Club International Convention. The show was a huge success for Dicksons', with massive interest in our fine Scottish guns and rifles. Managing Director, J-P Daeschler, got the chance to meet customers old and new and put the spotlight on Scotland's oldest gunmaker. For those that couldn't make it this time, the show will be back in Nashville next year, where it will likely be even bigger and better.
New Dickson Accessories
We are constantly investing in supporting our vintage gun market and have just introduced two premium reproduction leather labels to go in vintage gun cases. These have been produced from new remastered brass stamping plates and hot pressed with gold leaf resulting in precise copies of the 'Lion' leather label and earlier 'Red' label. We also have a limited run of case colour hardened 12 gauge Dickson snap-caps in exotic woods along side our brass topped snap caps in various gauges and various bodies. Please contact the shop here for further information.
We are heading to the Southern!
We are busily preparing some fine Scottish guns to take to The Southern Classic Side by Side Championship and Exhibition, which takes place at Deep River Sporting Clays, Sanford, in North Carolina, April 27th to 30th. We are again holding our Scottish Round-Action Challenge and bringing a beautiful Ballantyne foundry cast bronze of a red Grouse for the winner, and our friends at S. Delaney & Sons will be hosting our first Dickson Owners Club gathering in the USA for 2023. You can find out more about this great event here
