Re-opening of John Dickson and Son
We are very pleased to announce that our retail shop and workshop in Dunkeld will re-open for business on Wednesday 1st July 2020.
In order to ensure the safety and well being of both our customers and staff we will be operating our premises in line with government social distancing procedures resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. This means some significant changes to how we serve and look after the needs of our customers.
For your guidance the following measures will be in operation:
OPENING HOURS HAVE CHANGED
Our new opening hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm only.
BEFORE YOU VISIT
If you have an enquiry, gun collection or drop off or are looking to purchase a specific item, please contact us in advance - by email or phone (details on our contact pagehere) so that we ensure that everything runs smoothly on your arrival for everyone's safety.
There will be no access to the workshop. We will only be available to meet with customers through the main shop.
The shop door will be locked so please knock and a member of staff will come to meet you. We aim to serve customers outside of the shop wherever possible, including taking payment.
If you need to enter the shop, we can only allow one customer at a time. Please be patient with us as this is for everyone's safety.
If you do come into the shop, we will be observing a 2-metre social distancing rule with the customer at all times and hand sanitiser will be available. All staff will have hand sanitiser, wipes and masks.
Any item handled by a customer will be fully sanitised before going back on display.
We will be operating a card machine to take your payment. We are restricting the handling of cash or cheques, so please be prepared to pay by card or contact us in advance is this is not possible to arrange other payment methods.
We will have a sign on the shop door explaining our procedures.
Thank you for your patience during these unusual times and in helping us all stay safe by following our new operating procedures. We look forward to welcoming you back to Dunkeld in July.
